If you’re a couple in Pittsburgh looking for a location that’s a little outside the box for your engagement photos, look no further! Pittsburgh is home to so many incredible spots. I always suggest for my couples to choose a location where they would normally hang out, or a place that they’ve been wanting to visit. For example: a new restaurant that they’ve been eyeing, the little park near their apartment, or where they had their first date. Below are a few fun places like that for you to consider as you plan your session.
Coop de Ville – Strip District
Hanna + Joe wanted to do something a little extra fun for their engagement session, so the arcade and games of Coop De Ville was the perfect setting! We spent time together wandering around as H + J sipped fun cocktails and played various arcade and board games together. These two regularly like to do activities and games together, so getting to incorporate that facet of their relationship into their engagement photos allowed for their true selves to shine through. Coop De Ville is located at 2305 Smallman St. and offers food, drinks, and activities like bowling, arcade games, board games, and pool.
Margaux – East Liberty
Emily + Jon love going to restaurants and coffee shops together, so Margaux in Pittsburgh’s East Liberty neighborhood was the perfect fit for their session! We started with some classic and fun black and white shots at the bar, then E + J grabbed some coffees to sip on and enjoyed some time chatting. We wandered around the shop together, choosing to take photos at spots that they enjoyed inside. We finished up outside the building with Margaux’s cool neon sign in the background. Margaux is located at 5947 Penn Ave. and offers specialty coffee, small plates, cocktails, and more.
PA Market – Strip District
Gina and Jason opted to have the second part of their engagement session at PA Market, also located in the Strip District. This location was intentional for G + J, because they’re getting married right down the street at The Art Room! PA Market is full of European-style character, and it’s a great option for those who want a chic and elevated vibe for their engagement photos. The PA Market is located at 108 19th St. and offers wine, cocktails, and food.
Sahli Nature Park – Chippewa
Amanda and Ryan love getting to hang out and explore places together, and Sahli Nature Park was a great spot to explore some natural beauty, especially in autumn! If you’re willing to drive a little north of the city of Pittsburgh, this park is a wonderful place to go for your engagement photos. The park features lots of beautiful foliage, a small pond, and a playground as well. Sahli Nature Park is located at 194 McKinley Rd in Beaver Falls, PA.
