My name is Lauren - I’m the gal behind Renegade, and it’s great to (virtually) meet you. I like to think myself an introverted extrovert, and perhaps one of my favorite ways to recharge is hanging at home with my husband Miguel and cuddling our sheepadoodle pup Rosie. I’m known to enjoy an oat milk latte with a lil’ bit of honey in the daytime, and a dirty martini in the evening hours. I love telling stories so much that I even went to school for it! I studied multiplatform journalism during my time as an undergrad, and while I was there I realized that I didn’t want to become a journalist in the traditional sense. So, I pivoted into the world of photography and have loved every minute of it.
Something I treasure about photography is that it can capture what you value. Out of all my own wedding photos, one of the ones I appreciate a little extra my husband and I aren't even in! Our photographer got a beautiful shot of my mom and grandpap dancing together, huge grins on their faces. Not only can I feel the joy they both were feeling, but I love getting to have such a beautiful image of the two of them having fun. I know I’ll always come back to that picture long after they’re both gone. My desire is to give you your own version of these pictures, with the people that you cherish the most.

As y'all may have read above, I have a wonderful husband and a super cute pup, Rosie. :) You may have seen memes like "when you support a small business, this is who you're supporting..." but honestly sometimes I think it's the other way around! Miguel has been a lifeline to me and has always supported all of my endeavors with Renegade. He's believed in my abilities + dreams even when I couldn't see past the next few days.
When we met, I never anticipated starting a relationship, yet here I am almost 5 years later with my very best friend. If you ever want to hear more about how we met and got married that's a fun story I'd be honored to share with you sometime. All that to say, I love being married - and it's a joy that I carry into all of my wedding days. I usually will get a lil' teary eyed during your day because it reminds me of how much I love love, and what a privilege it is getting to witness so many beautiful relationships!

Anyone who knows me will tell you that I’m a huge proponent of balance, and I like to carry that over into my work just as much as I do in my personal life. Everyone has highs and lows, different moods and feelings throughout the course of their life, and I want to meet you in that. When you’re feeling a little lower and need some encouragement, trust that I’ll be a steady and calming presence in your corner. If you’re feeling vibrant and enthusiastic, trust that I will gas you up and fuel your excitement even more. I like to think of myself as a “vibe catcher,” joining you exactly where you are!
For my wedding couples in particular, I get to be a literal witness to your union! With that in mind, my goal is to continue on with you, supporting your relationship long after the big day. I hope that while treasuring your photos over the years, you’ll also find a friend for all seasons of your marriage.
